As We Make Our Way (Unknown Harbour)

Description

As We Make Our Way (Unknown Harbours) is SOPHIA’s 6th studio album and the first since There Are No Goodbyes in 2009. Why did it take so long? He says he did not want to make a second There Are No Goodbyes and, when listening to the new album, it is clear that Robin has pushed the boundaries both lyrically and musically. As with all previous SOPHIA releases, Robin recorded and produced this album in different recording studios, but this time he found himself not only in London (where he mixed the album with his longtime studio partner Kenny Jones, who has been by his side ever since Scenes From The Second Storey by The God Machines), but also in Brussels and even in Los Angeles. This album is filled with a warm depth, a welcoming melancholy. Less dark than the previous ones (which Robin is pleased about), the SOPHIA sound is very much present. As We Make Our Way (Unknown Harbours) manages to be optimistic in its sadness.
