Description

Sonic Interventions is a futuristic group from the diaspora made up of interdisciplinary artists from five continents. Emerging in 2020 from the transcultural jazz scene in Berlin, the group brings together various languages, instruments, rhythms, and dances for collective meditation and healing, improvisation, and groove. Since then, the group has established itself as one of the most acclaimed underground jazz collectives in Berlin. Known for its inclusive live performances, where moments of meditation and trance rise to heavy grooves, traditional rhythms from African and Latin American continents merge with urban styles such as hip-hop, trap, and house. The group combines poetry and dance inspired by the cosmos, ancient alchemy, and world mythologies.
