Notes Of Blue

Description

Son Volt is still considered one of the most influential bands of the 90s alt-country movement. While today this musical genre has become normalized and widespread under the name Americana, the band has lost none of its splendor and returns with an eighth album.
Notes Of Blue draws inspiration from the themes of blues music both in the lyrics and in the compositions, carried by the unique and recognizable voice of Jay Farrar. Inspired by the distinctive playing of essential blues artists such as Skip James, Fred Mc Dowell, or Nick Drake, Son Volt delivers here an album with blues and americana accents of rare technical precision and power. The vinyl contains a 180g disc with a printed inner sleeve.
