The CD of the Easter Offices is in the same vein as that of the Christmas Offices released in 2020, in this fruitful tension between dynamism and sobriety. The hymns, antiphons, and psalmody are mostly original compositions based on the AELF texts, adapted for parish settings: both beautiful, melodic, and at the same time simple enough to be sung in assembly.
This CD opens with a new musical proposal for the Announcement of Easter, in its new translation: a freely interpreted proposal with two refrains that can alternate and be repeated by the assembly, creating a dynamic conducive to listening to this beautiful text of the Exultet. Following are the Easter offices (day and octave): lauds, vespers, and complines, which are those of the Apostolic Benedictine Fraternity, interpreted by Sister Agathe and a choir made up of professional singers. The interpretation and accompaniment are characterized by a dynamic simplicity, close to reality, while being enriched to promote a pleasant and repeated listening experience at home.
