Akuphone and The Cambodian Vintage Music Archive are proud to present the very first retrospective dedicated to So Savoeun, one of the radiant voices that marked Phnom Penh's golden age of music in the 1960s and 1970s. During these years, the city pulsed with music: rock bands, crooners, and traditional ensembles blended influences from East and West, shaping a unique Cambodian pop, imbued with hope and modernity. This collection brings together rare and long-unreleased recordings, including luminous duets with her legendary contemporaries Meas Saman, Lek Savath, and Sinn Sisamouth.
