Six years after their last album, psychedelic prophets Snail are back with their highly anticipated new studio album. Titled "Fractal Altar," Snail's fifth record picks up where their last album "Feral" left off; so expect heavy, fuzzy, melodic tunes with soaring harmonies and lyrics that explore both inner and outer space. But this time the band arrives recharged and rejuvenated, enthusiastically triumphing over their dark side and reveling in their power trio roots. Having played together for 30 years, the three original members, Marty Dodson, Mark Johnson, and Matt Lynch, celebrated both their sound and friendship, and though six years in the making, it didn't take long for the synergy to ignite while recording the new songs. "Fractal Altar" offers a fresh mix of stoner rock, fuzzy grunge, and sludge metal.
