Sixteen Miles (Down the Tennessee Road) - Vinyl

Description

Bear Family Records® presents for the first time a selection of rare rockabilly recordings by **“Cowboy” Slim Dortch**, including the mythical “Big Boy Rock,” a true collector’s “Holy Grail.” Born in Tennessee in 1921, Dortch traveled across the United States as a traveling musician before falling into obscurity. Recorded in the 1960s with musicians such as Roland Janes and Chips Moman, these ten tracks, including seven previously unreissued, blend country and rockabilly in a raw, authentic style. This limited vinyl edition of 500 copies comes with an eight-page booklet and rare photos.
