With its irresistible beats, reinvented world rhythms, and acoustic and electronic instruments, "COSMIC SERPENTS" is a poetic and explosive sound collage blending electro chaabi, digital cumbia, dub, pop, Brazilian rasterinha, Creole maloya, footwork, and psychedelic rock, among others. This new album by the pan-tropical future bass group SKIP&DIE was written and recorded in Brazil, Egypt, Argentina, Colombia, South Africa, the Netherlands, and Reunion Island with the help of a handful of exciting guests, including Reunion Island band Lindigo, Cairo's Islam Chipsy, Brazilian DJ Gorki (of Bonde do Role), and Argentinian Chancha Via Circuito. SKIP&DIE includes South African singer, lyricist, and visual artist Catarina Aimée Dahms aka Cata.Pirata, producer Jori Collignon on keyboards & FX, Gino Bombrini on percussion & guitar, and Daniel Rose on guitar and other string instruments.
