Skinshape (alias Will Dorey) releases his ninth studio album titled Another Side Of Skinshape via Lewis Recordings. As the album title suggests, Dorey's latest work is somewhat different from his previous discography. However, there is still a common thread that pulses through all his music - a kind of dreamy soundscape that echoes the mystical nostalgia of a sunny afternoon. Drawing inspiration from childhood memories, Ethiopian rhythms, and even calls to prayer, Another Side Of Skinshape delves into the most esoteric corners of Dorey's mind. Regarding the album, Dorey states: "Some songs pay homage to the 90s, others to the 60s and 70s." In creating this album, Dorey experimented with various keyboards and drum machines, which are sometimes layered over the excellent drumming of Thomas Blunt, who plays live on tape. Blunt is well-acquainted with the language of Skinshape, as he is also part of Dorey's band. Dorey is a former member of the band Palace, which has played at Glastonbury, BBC Maida Vale, and Shepherd's Bush Empire, to name just a few. Skinshape's song "I Didn't Know" has been streamed over 50 million times. He is proud to hail from Swanage, Dorset.
