In 1991, Simple Minds returned with Real Life. The album reached number two in the UK, where it also spawned four singles in the Top 40. The band toured to support the release, performing as a five-member core (Jim Kerr, Charlie Burchill, Mel Gaynor, bassist Malcolm Foster, and new keyboardist Mark Taylor) and scaling back the extensive arrangements of the last major tours. On August 24, 1991, Simple Minds played at the massive Milton Keynes Bowl as part of their Real Life tour, and for many fans, this show was the highlight of the entire outing. Playing for nearly two hours in total on that late summer evening over 30 years ago, the entire concert was recorded for live FM radio broadcast and is now available in its entirety on this new two-part set.
