The Swedish band Siena Root, which describes its music as "Root Rock Experience," returns with a new album: A Dream of Lasting Peace. As usual, it features solid riffs, epic solos, and elegant organ sounds driven by a strong rhythm section and the enchanting voice of their new singer Samuel Björö.
For the recording of this album, the band retreated to the Silence studio near Koppom in Sweden: "a legendary place somewhere in the middle of nowhere" where music was their only company. On this album, Siena Root aimed to best capture the atmosphere of their concerts. To this end, the band used only analog equipment. A Dream of Lasting Peace is the most versatile album in the band's career to date. The five musicians navigate between harmonies, experiments, and improvisations. As a highlight, the first single "Tales of Independence" impresses with its sharp riffs and extroverted vocals.
