Seismos

Description

Originally from Athens (based in Berlin), Sidus has built a reputation as a creator of captivating cinematic and instrumental post-rock compositions. "Seismos" is a three-song EP that explores and embraces the intensity of earthquakes, while correlating them with the unsettling feeling of panic attacks. These natural disasters are a breathtaking phenomenon and are born in the deep layers of the Earth’s crust. They release all the tension and power to the surface. "Stage I: Rupture" is the genesis of an earthquake / panic attack. The energy is concentrated around a point of tension that will cause a rupture in the future. This concentration of energy is generally a slow and almost undetectable process. "Stage II: seismic wave" corresponds to the moment when earthquakes propagate through the Earth’s crust in the form of waves, and "Stage III: sismos" corresponds to the calm before the storm.
