Night Dreamer

To celebrate 25 years of friendship and collaboration, the two great Brazilian artists Seu Jorge and Rogê recorded seven unreleased tracks in a direct session for the Night Dreamer label. After Nigerian artist Seun Kuti, it is now the turn of these two carioca singers, guitarists, and songwriters to settle into the Artone studio in Haarlem, Netherlands, for a Night Dreamer session directly recorded by the London label on vinyl and without post-production. A raw and stripped-down sound that enhances the purity and warmth of "vozviolao," guitar and voice, accompanied on some songs by two of Brazil's best percussionists, Peu Meurray and Pretinho da Serrinha. The seven original tracks of this album, set to be released on February 7, are part of the great tradition of Brazilian acoustic ballads, like the first track Pra Você Amigo (in French: “For you, my friend”), an intimate and moving testament to the close bond and strong friendship between Seu Jorge and Rogê.
