Sect explores the intersection of the issues that have befallen us over the past five years, the "plagues" in the title referring to the covid pandemic and the rise of fascism.Plagues Upon Plagues opens with the depressive waves of "No Uncertain Terms," a facet of the band that we have never seen before. Singer Chris Colohan describes this album as "a burial rather than a trial," the activism of previous albums fading in favor of sadness and grief.
