After six years spent on solo adventures and film music, the duo Scratch Massive (Maud Geffray and Sebastien Chenut) is finally back with “Nox Anima“. An album recorded in 2023 in Los Angeles, which reconnects with the dreamlike and haunted atmospheres of the albums “Garden Of Love“ “Nuit de Rêve“ (2011). With 10 tracks, including two pop-infused hits featuring Yelle and Jeanne Added, “Nox Anima“ finds the intact magic of Scratch Massive once again. While taking this electronic and melancholic trance-like immersion one step further, unique to them, it unfolds and listens like the soundtrack to an imaginary film, full of tension and twists, slowdowns and accelerations, palpitations and moments of calm. A dystopian atmosphere perfectly brought to life by star director Emmanuel Cossu (seen alongside Dua Lipa, Gesaffelstein, Connan Mockasin or Sébastien Tellier), who gives two standout tracks from the album (I see you up tomorrow and Inner symphony) a poetic setting conceived with the help of AI, as an extension of the bittersweet universe unfolded on “Nox Anima”.
