After the resounding success of their last studio album 'Love At First Sting' and the live album 'World Wide Live', Scorpions were under immense pressure in 1988. The musicians escaped the pressure and barricaded themselves in the studio for almost three years, where they meticulously worked on the subsequent album with producer Dieter Dierks. On SAVAGE AMUSEMENT, Scorpions present themselves as more mature and demonstrate that they belong more than ever to the forefront of hard rock in terms of production. Despite all the changes, the album was still a typical Scorpions work: a good dose of untamed aggression and dynamics, beautiful harmonies and melodies, brilliant guitars and, of course, Klaus Meine's unique voice. No wonder 'Savage Amusement', released on April 16, 1988, extended the success of previous albums and became another worldwide hit. 'Savage Amusement' is now released on 180g light blue vinyl. In addition to 'Savage Amusement', 'Fly To The Rainbow', 'In Trance', 'Virgin Killer', 'Humanity - Hour 1', 'Taken By Force', 'Blackout', 'Lovedrive', 'Tokyo Tapes', 'World Wide Live', 'Animal Magnetism' and 'Love At First Sting' will also be released in new colored vinyl editions.
