'Lovedrive' marked the beginning of a new era in the history of the Scorpions. Guitarist Uli Jon Roth had finally left the band in 1978 after the first tour in Japan. The new man, Matthias Jabs, also came from Hanover and Michael Schenker also joined the band in the studio. He contributed to the solo parts of the songs "Lovedrive", "Another Piece of Meat" and "Coast To Coast". In the end, there was a studio album on which three exceptional guitarists played a role. The result was all the more stunning. LOVEDRIVE is the first effort of Scorpions post-Uli Jon Roth classic, and it already shows all the characteristics that would define their music for the decades to come: an almost perfect mix of beautiful ballads, fantastic writing, powerful and aggressive riffs, and strong grooves… On 'Lovedrive', there are songs like "Holiday", which are popular with the public and are part of every concert to this day. It was the first Scorpions album to enter the top 100 of the American Billboard chart (No. 55) 'Lovedrive' is now released on vinyl, 180 gr. of transparent red color. In addition to 'Lovedrive', 'Fly To The Rainbow', 'In Trance', 'Virgin Killer', 'Humanity - Hour 1', 'Taken By Force', 'Blackout', 'Savage Amusement', 'Tokyo Tapes', 'World Wide Live', 'Animal Magnetism' and 'Love At First Sting' will also be released in new versions on colored vinyl.
