Oxymoron

Description

One of the most anticipated albums on the American rap scene, with appearances by Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz and Pharrell. Schoolboy Q is a young rapper to watch closely. He got his start in rap by chaining together mixtapes and freestyles, and found his first success in 2011 with his independently released album Setbacks. He followed it up with his second album Habits & Contradictions, in which he reveals his vices and wounds with lightness and sincerity. The outstanding quality of the tracks, the originality and sincerity of the lyrics make Habits & Contradictions the essential album of 2012. In 2013, Schoolboy Q followed in Kendrick Lamar’s footsteps and joined the Interscope label. With Oxymoron, his new album, Schoolboy Q delivers a truly complete album in which he explores the dark sides of “street life” with a poetic darkness that is true to him.
