Wonder where we land

Description

Do we still need to introduce the English producer SBTRKT, the creator of the unstoppable Wildfire? In the space of just a few remixes (M.I.A., Basement Jaxx, Mark Ronson,...) and a self-titled album, SBTRKT quickly established himself as one of the leading figures on the English electronic scene. The famous producer has built a graphic and sonic persona hidden behind a tribal mask, and has made post-dubstep his calling card by adding an unstoppable groove. His first album, with its stripped-down sound, made an impression and took him to the four corners of the world. After two years away, and a series of EPs, SBTRKT finally releases his new album Wonder Where We Land, on which he gives pride of place to his various influences. Beyond the first two tracks, Temporary View performed by his partner Sampha, and New Dorp New York with Ezra Koenig, which carry the DNA of SBTRKT’s productions, he often veers into hip-hop with Voices In My Head, Higher, or into pop on The Light or Problem Solved..
