Cyclotimic Songs

Description

After the release in 2020 of the astonishing "Qui s'en va un peu," the duo Marc SARRAZY / Laurent ROCHELLE innovates once again with the new concept presented in this album, Cyclotimic Songs, which brings to life a kind of musical Frankenstein. After multiple sound dissections, musical fragments are assembled, reorganized, and recomposed with new musical ingredients to create original scores featuring guests and vocals. Particularly colorful, the overall result oscillates between pop-jazz, minimalist ballads, dreamlike poetry, and cinematic explorations (Fantômas, John Malkovich, spaghetti westerns, and Bollywood are all invoked here!). Among the guest headliners featured are writer Antoine VOLODINE and American rapper Mike LADD.
