YOUNG IN ALL THE WRONG WAYS

Description

Best known for her adventurous and impeccable collaboration with the bluegrass group Nickel Creek, singer-songwriter SARA WATKINS releases her third solo album, Young In All Wrong Ways. This solo career gives her the opportunity to explore pop music and make new sonic palettes her own. Pop that still takes root in her folk influences. The result is personal, contemporary music. This album, which the multi-instrumentalist describes as “a break with myself,” includes 10 intense songs with soul-inflected touches, and marks a certain break from WATKINS’ last two musical years. The album is calm, vulnerable and tender, but you can also hear bursts of organ and shredded electric guitars.
