The Venezuelan sopranist Samuel Marino presents 'Sopranista', his first album with Decca Classics. Recorded with La Cetra Barockorchester Basel under the direction of Andrea Marcon, Marino performs arias of castrati, soprano, and travesti roles from the 18th century. Alongside famous arias by Gluck and Mozart recorded here by a male soprano voice for the very first time, there are world premieres and rarities by Joseph Bologne de Saint-George and Domenico Cimarosa.
