30 years after his last visit to Japan, John Williams returned for an exceptional concert, making his debut with the renowned Saito Kinen Orchestra and reuniting with his longtime friend, conductor Seiji Ozawa (1935-2024).Recorded live at Suntory Hall last year, 'John Williams In Tokyo' follows his successful concert albums, The Berlin Concert and John Williams in Vienna, released on Deutsche Grammophon. Captured live, the Tokyo concert is a musical celebration of friendship: alongside 11 pieces conducted by John Williams, among his most famous film scores, the bonus track "Tributes! (for Seiji)", composed by John Williams for Seiji Ozawa, is conducted by Stéphane Denève.The deluxe edition includes a second disc with 5 additional tracks and a Blu-Ray featuring the entire concert.
