Winner of the Long-Thibaud Competition 2025, pianist Saehyun Kim dedicates his first album to Paris, the city where his career took a turn. This program offers a meeting between Frédéric Chopin and Gabriel Fauré, two iconic figures who shaped the Parisian musical landscape. The young musician combines the technical virtuosity of Chopin's twelve Études op. 25 with the delicacy of Fauré's pieces, including his own arrangements such as "Après un rêve." Between the charm of Barcarolle No. 1 and the nostalgia of Charles Trenet's classic "En Avril à Paris," this album illustrates a poetic vision that is already very assertive and a total commitment.
