The Japanese-origin metalcore band Sable Hills made a name for themselves in 2019 thanks to their critically acclaimed album 'EMBERS', placing them at the top of the Japanese metal scene. Their ability to share the stage with renowned Japanese bands such as coldrain, Crystal Lake, and international heavyweights such as Fit For A King and After The Burial, demonstrates the breadth of their appeal, and their participation in huge festivals like the Bloodaxe Festival has only strengthened their growing reputation. In 2024, the band unveils 'ODYSSEY', their first album since the arrival of a new guitarist/vocalist. This new opus opens a new era for Sable Hills with a sound that returns to the roots of metalcore. Two years after the release of their previous work, SABLE HILLS releases a gem of majestic beauty and intensity. With Wataru as the new member, this is the first overseas release from the German metal label Arising Empire/Verycords. It contains a total of 11 songs, including “Battle Cry” featuring Crossfaith Koie on vocals and “No Turning Back” featuring Unearth Trevor Phipps. "We are launching the new album 'ODYSSEY' as the new era of Sable Hills. This will be the first record after the new guitarist/vocalist joined the band. The album contains many songs that feature his voice. His singing has certainly expanded our sound. We have also refined our metal/metalcore sound. There are a lot of riffs, leads that metalcore has lost recently. You will see the new era of true metalcore."
