David Ryan Adams (born November 5, 1974) is an American singer-songwriter of alternative rock/country from Jacksonville, North Carolina. Poet, painter, and producer, he is best known for his prolific solo career (14 albums to his credit) alongside his side projects, within groups or projects such as Whiskeytown, The Cardinals, The Shining... He is also known for producing albums for Willie Nelson, Jesse Malin, Jenny Lewis, Fall Out Boy, as well as collaborations with (among others) Counting Crows, Weezer, Norah Jones... Nominated 5 times for the Grammy Awards and once for the Brit Awards, his latest album, very conceptual, "1989", released in 2015, consisted of cover songs, piece by piece, from Taylor Swift's album 1989. His 15th album brings us back to the rock, folk, and country sounds that suit him so well.
