One Night In Karlsruhe

Description

Michel Petrucciani was a determined man, even going so far as to give more than a hundred concerts a year at the height of his career. He always held within him the feeling that, given his illness, he had less time ahead of him than the average person, a sentiment he often discussed with his friends and journalists. Petrucciani wanted to condense his music by releasing energy under tension in a long-awaited discharge. The bassist Gary Peacock and drummer Roy Haynes were the ideal partners. The former honed his trio performance alongside Bill Evans, Paul Bley, and Keith Jarrett, to name just a few, while the latter personally experienced the birth of bebop and was one of the pioneers of the jazz scene in this area.
