ROTTING CHRIST is a pillar of Hellenic black metal: since 1987, the band has forged a unique sound that blends extremity, ancient heritage, and ritualistic atmospheres. With 'Aealo' (2010), they reached a decisive turning point in their evolution. This new re-recorded edition brings renewed energy and clarity to one of their most ambitious albums. Completely revitalized with modern production and a much more powerful mix, 'Aealo' appears more cinematic than ever: lamenting female choirs, martial percussion, folk melodies, and imposing riffs clash in a grandiose vision of war, tragedy, and pagan spirituality. The contributions of Diamanda Galás and Alan A. Nemtheanga (Primordial) reinforce the album's mythical dimension, while the increased dynamic range reveals layers previously buried in the original recording. Richer, fiercer, and more imposing, this new 'Aealo' amplifies all the qualities that made this album a classic of Hellenic black metal.
