Il Pianto Della Madonna

Description

The first recording by the Desmarest ensemble under the direction of harpsichordist Ronan Khalil, Il Pianto della Madonna is a bouquet of distant sonorities, where the superb singing of soprano Maïlys de Villoutreys aptly embraces the voices of each instrument. Around the continuo, the figure of the Virgin is thus unfolded through the finest pages of early music, which the musicians of the Desmarest ensemble perform with grace and depth.
