Ron Dante's Funhouse

Description

Ron Dante was undoubtedly one of the hottest singers on the pop charts in 1969, navigating the same commercial stratosphere as the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and the 5th Dimension. As the lead singer of the Archies, he had the best-selling song of the year with the #1 hit "Sugar Sugar." Ron's golden voice was sought after by all the producers in Manhattan, and he was the go-to guy at the legendary Brill Building for Don Kirschner. Even Madison Avenue, calling on Dante, created national television jingles for American Airlines, Coca-Cola, McDonald's, Tang, and Gillette. As a Broadway producer, he had hits with "Ain't Misbehavin'" and "Children Of A Lesser God." At the peak of his career, Ron sold over 60 million records as a producer and background vocalist on Barry Manilow's first nine albums.
