Description

With his second album, Romain Muller invites us to leave the city and observe the passing landscape and the variations of the sky, from cloudy grey to azure blue, with the sound of waves in the distance. Track after track, he navigates from one atmosphere to another, bringing forth images and sensations from his memory: the banks of the Moselle in April, the cliffs of Bonifacio, or the merry-go-rounds he rode as a child in the Vosges. These postcards sometimes take on melancholic hues, subtly addressing more intimate topics: the Sunday afternoon blues, vacations that are hard to take, the desire to start anew, or the fear of aging. His hushed voice carries both dreamy ballads with catchy refrains and tracks with gripping riffs and more intense energy.
