ROBERT RANDOLPH is a 33-year-old American musician, master of the pedal steel guitar and heavily influenced by Stevie Ray Vaughan. Rolling Stone US ranked him in 2003 among the 100 greatest guitarists in the world. The following year, he appeared in the DVD Crossroads Guitar Festival and opened for Clapton's world tour. Like last year, he recently participated in the American tour tribute to Jimi with Billy Cox, Steve Vai, Jonny Lang, Living Colour... He will again be featured at the next Crossroads Guitar Festival on June 26. This fourth album by Robert Randolph: "We Walk This Road", is produced by T Bone Burnett. The record features contributions from Ben Harper, Leon Russell, Doyle Bramhall II, Jim Keltner, T Bone Burnett and includes, in addition to original compositions, covers of Bob Dylan, Prince, John Lennon, and Blind Willie Johnson.
