New album, "Feral Roots", available on January 25, 2019.American rock band from California, formed in 2009 from the ashes of Black Summer Crush, the birth of Rival Sons coincides with the arrival of Jay Buchanan as the singer. The latest album from Rival Sons, Hollow Bones, was released in June 2016 under the Earache Records label. The style of Rival Sons is often compared to that of the blues rock bands of the 1960s-70s, which included Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and Free. The first single from the album "Do Your Worst" already released in early September has just entered the Top 20 of US Active Rock radio.
