The Hex

Description

The Hex, the posthumous album by Richard Swift, "the discreet hero of indie rock" (Les Inrocks). The Hex is the sixth and posthumous album by songwriter and producer Richard Swift, released five months after his passing. In the months leading up to his death, Richard struggled to complete this album. Designed and created during his final years, the album expresses his pain over the loss of his mother and sister, whom he loved dearly, the years spent on the road away from his family, and his battle with addiction. Completing this album was a true obsession for Swift: a personal statement that would allow him to open a new chapter in his life. The Hex is presented here as The Hex For Family and Friends. Its tracks pay tribute to and reference all the people who have carefully supported his art.
