Chandos presents the reissue of Rossini's "Stabat Mater" by Richard Hickox! After initially asking his friend Giovanni Tadolini for help to complete the work, Rossini ultimately wrote the four missing movements himself for publication. This new version was a great success at its premiere in Paris in 1842.
