Mastery, energy, and rich tones, Rhoda Scott remains a living legend of the Hammond organ. Surrounded by two monumental Leslie cabinets and at the controls of a B3, she bounces (still barefoot, in line with her legend) to make her bass keyboard and double organ keyboard groove with a "bluesy," airy, and punchy swing. With a wide smile and great generosity, she showcases young jazz talents who are honing their skills within her Lady Quartet: Sophie Alour, Julie Saury, and Lisa Cat-Berro... This all-female jazz ensemble was born one evening at the Sunset in 2007. The love story continues with this new album "We free queens" produced by the Sunset itself and Stéphane Portet.
