Steven

Description

REQUIEM was a band from the Stuttgart region about which little is known. Their only album, "Steven", is an exhilarating roller coaster ride on waves of progressive rock, hard rock, and what is now called proto-metal. It is a style found only in the short period between 1979 and 1981. It is also a missing link between 70s rock and heavy metal. Tommy Clauss was a member of his first band REQUIEM. He was still able to make a musical appearance later on. He first worked with the band REBEL, whose singer was JOHN LAWTON (Uriah Heep, Lucifers Friend), and then founded the much more famous band ZAR. He was therefore able to shed some light on the band's story for the liner notes included in the booklet. For this reissue, an unplayed vinyl was doubled by Patrick Engel (High Roller, Metal Blade, etc.), then remastered by Neudi (Manilla Road, Trance, etc.). The LP version was mastered separately for vinyl by Vadim Kulin (ZYX Studio). This product will delight several target groups at once. Krautrock enthusiasts, prog fanatics, and finally also metalheads interested in music history will be thrilled by "Steven".
