The idea behind REPLACIRE's third album was simple: write some songs calibrated for mosh pits! Of course, like any band gaining experience, REPLACIRE deviated from that initial thought process. After lying low for seven years, they resurfaced with mind-bending tech-death tracks. The process wasn't simple, but after countless Zoom calls, sleep paralysis episodes, and a trip to the hospital, the Boston band remains determined and unwavering. "I impose all I am / Death entwined, rage inside / Blackened sky," roars new vocalist James Dorton, as if lifting the weight of the world off his shoulders. On ‘The Center That Cannot Hold,’ REPLACIRE flexes its muscles and shows its teeth.
