Six years after the success of the album "Cinéma," here is the much-anticipated new tribute from violinist Renaud Capuçon to French film music composers. "The idea for this new album bringing together French film music composers was born about ten years ago during conversations with my friend Jacques Chancel. He spoke a lot about Georges Delerue and Pierre Schoendorfer, who had worked together on Diên Biên Phu. Two or three years ago, while reflecting on those conversations, I rediscovered Delerue's music and realized how extraordinary a composer he was. In tribute to their talent and the friendship between these men who are no longer with us, I wanted to create this album around the most prominent French composers of the 7th Art: Delerue, Sarde, Legrand, Jarre, Kosma, de Roubaix, Petit, Cosma, Lai, Yared, Rombi, Desplat. Through their music, I hope to make you relive magical moments with the unforgettable Romy Schneider, Michel Piccoli, Yves Montand, Philippe Noiret, Louis de Funès, and many others. May these Choses de la vie give you as many stars in your eyes as we had while recording them with Les Siècles and Duncan Ward."
