Yuvi Havkin, aka Rejoicer, returns with an exceptional collaborative album, California Space Craft. On this evocatively titled record, he teams up with seasoned Los Angeles bassist Sam Wilkes - recognized for his inspired studio work with Sam Gendel and dynamic live performances alongside Louis Cole and KNOWER - and drummer Tamir Barzilay, thus completing the iconic trio of the California scene, accompanied by a handful of notable guests.The idea for California Space Craft was born from a series of inspired live sessions in Los Angeles between 2019 and 2022, notably at the Listen to Music Outside in the Daylight Under a Tree festival, where the trio's natural chemistry began to reveal itself.The resulting recordings explore a wide variety of inspired sonic styles, as one would expect from each of these accomplished artists; however, the whole is far greater than the sum of its parts, the fluidity of their free improvisations during a dedicated three-day recording session resulting in a remarkably cohesive body of work.
