Description

This album by pianist Reinis Zarins and the Trio Palladio is a personal and exceptional tribute to the composer Arvo Pärt (born 1935), one of the most influential composers of our time. It brings together Pärt's timeless works for piano as well as a selection of his chamber music pieces, including the famous "Für Alina", "Fratres" and "Spiegel im Spiegel", not to mention his early compositions.The program also includes two special dedications by two Latvian composers, Georgs Pelecis and Andrejs Selickis, both deeply marked by the example and ideas of Arvo Pärt.These two works, written in 2025 for Arvo Pärt's 90th birthday, are recorded here for the first time.
