Maybe the most obscure of all the obscurities in the TSG catalog, "Disco Party" is not at all "disco"; moreover, it is a complete excursion into the funk dancefloor and proto-disco-jazz of the mid-70s, performed by a group of expert musicians at the height of their craft. Recorded in a long session in New York, until now, conductor Dr. Otto Gomez and the rest of his team had never even heard the recordings they made nearly 50 years ago. Indeed, none of the band members even knew their album had been released!
