RACHMANINOFF PIANO CONCERTO

Description

Rachmaninoff's Third Piano Concerto in Amsterdam marks the brilliant debut with the RCO of Behzod Abduraimov who, at eighteen, won the London International Piano Competition. This is just one of many awards that continue to accompany the career of the Uzbek pianist Behzod Abduraimov, born in 1990. In the midst of his rapid ascent in the following years, he stopped in Amsterdam with conductor Valery Gergiev: in October 2017, he recorded the thrilling live atmosphere of Rachmaninoff's Third Concerto with the Concertgebouw Orchestra. The captivating recording of this warhorse among romantic piano concertos now appears as a new addition to the RCO catalogue.
