Palestinian singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist Rasha Nahas has a distinctive approach to songwriting, lyrics, and performance. As a genre-defying, lyric-driven artist, Rasha Nahas has created a deeply singular musical universe, cultivated and faithful to the underground. Driven by lyrics of disarming vulnerability, Rasha has managed to forge a sound between old-school rock and the anarchic golden age of 80s electronica.
Her second album, Amrat, is Rasha's first foray into the Arabic language. It is a sentimental work, seamlessly maneuvering between the thematic duality of urban and rural landscapes, always waltzing between contemporary electronica and old-school singer-songwriters.
Rasha will be performing on March 18 at the Arabofolies Festival at the Institut du Monde Arabe.
She will then return in September for several dates in France.
