12 new songs to help make known and spread the spirituality of this new saint. Raoul Mutin, a priest of the Diocese of Dijon, very sensitive to Élisabeth’s spirituality (he was parish priest for 10 years of the Blessed Élisabeth of the Trinity parish in Dijon), has already composed several songs inspired by her writings, as well as a show for the centenary of her death. For Élisabeth’s canonization, he worked on writing songs that will help make known and spread the spirituality of this new saint. “We sometimes imagine artistic creation as the act of a solitary person. Raoul Mutin’s songs show the opposite. This diocesan priest creates for and with a people. He is less concerned with expressing himself than with awakening, with leading the prayer of those whom the Church entrusts to him.” The figure of Élisabeth of the Trinity, a Carmelite from Dijon (1880 - 1906), is reminiscent of that of Thérèse of Lisieux, her contemporary, who died in 1897. Both Carmelites, and both having felt the vocation very young, the two young women are great spiritual figures who completely surrendered themselves to the love of God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Élisabeth of the Trinity was beatified in 1984 and canonized in 2016.
