Description

Rainbow is one of the jewels of British hard rock. Founded by Ritchie Blackmore, after his departure from Deep Purple, the band would go through several line-ups until 1997. The musicians change but the guiding principles and fundamentals of the band remain thanks to the virtuoso guitarist: great rock anthems like Long Live Rock And Roll and All Night Long, to more mystical tracks like Starglazer or Man On A Silver Mountain. Moreover, the contributions of singer Ronnie James Dio and drummer Cozy Powell have profoundly marked the history of the band. Rising is the second album of the band; in this opus Richie Blackmore gives us to hear everything he could never do with Deep Purple, that is to say a more melodic and less raw hard rock. Ronnie James Dio's voice also plays a major role in it.
