Three years after his first album "Human," Rag’n’bone Man makes his grand return with a brilliant new album. Driven by a new dynamic, he poured his heart and soul into it. ‘Life By Misadventure’ is a wonderful collection of moving songs that touch the heart. Always surprising, Rag‘n’Bone Man decided to break the established rules and flew to Nashville. There he wrote and recorded what would later become ‘Life By Misadventure’. And while these new tracks are rich in blues and soul, Rag’n’bone Man has also evolved significantly as an artist, songwriter, and singer, proving that he is capable of conveying true emotion with every breath. Most of the record was produced and recorded near Nashville by producer and multi-instrumentalist Mike Elizondo (Eminem, 50 Cent, Fiona Apple, Alanis Morissette), who has already won a Grammy Award. The album was intentionally recorded like a live album - it sounds raw and 100% human. His long-time collaborators Ben Jackson-Cook (keyboards, co-songwriter, co-producer of the album), Bill Banwell (bass, co-songwriter), and Desri Ramus (backing vocals) were joined by drummer Daru Jones (Lazaretto-Jack White) and guitarist Wendy Melvoin (who joined Prince's band, Revolution, at the age of 19). Together, these talented musicians created an album with joyful, raw, and immediate sounds, which seems far too rare today in the age of autotune and overdubs. One of the tracks was even recorded in Rag‘n’Bone Man's garage. 'Life By Misadventure’ is the perfect pick-me-up in these troubled times.
