Rafal Blechacz has been closely associated with the music of Frédéric Chopin throughout his career. His devotion to the art and music of his great compatriot predates his victory at the International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw in 2005. Today, the artist dedicates another tribute album to him. The two famous sonatas have always been dear to him, and as Blechacz says: "The Funeral March of Sonata No. 2 has particular resonances in these difficult times, marked by a pandemic and the war in Ukraine.
