Quincy JONES, a legendary figure of the last 70 years, conductor, arranger, composer, and one of the greatest producers of jazz and pop stars. Quincy JONES had the distinction of residing in Paris between 1957 and 1958, engaged by the Barclay label. This 3 CD box set "Quincy JONES in the studio in Paris" brings together the majority of the recordings made in Paris where he conducted Henri SALVADOR (The Dentist's Blues…), the Grand Orchestre d’Eddie BARCLAY, and his albums Et Voilà (1st edition on CD in stereo) and Confetti, the famous American singer Sarah VAUGHAN who came to Paris specifically to record the album Vaughan and Violins. Back in the studio in Paris in the spring of 1960, he sponsored the creation of the mythical record Les Double Six Meet Quincy Jones and then conducted the album Under Paris Skies by the great American crooner Andy WILLIAMS. All these historical recordings are gathered in this 3 CD box set with a 40-page booklet and 18 photos.
