Description

The Quatuor Zaïde brings female composers out of the shadows.
Bringing two female composers from the past into the light of today and giving them their rightful place is the ambition of this new album by the Quatuor Zaïde. "Invisible," as the works of Clara Schumann and Fanny Mendelssohn remained for a long time, more known in their lifetime for their roles as the wife and sister of virtuosos than for their own artistic genius. Through this program of works by Clara & Robert Schumann and Fanny & Félix Mendelssohn, the four performers also aim to highlight the invisible connections that unite them and allow them to shape a common imagination.
